Mr. Dearing is in his 31st year of public school education.  Beginning immediately after his graduation from BSU, he taught on Mountain Home Air Force Base, then moved to Oxford, England to teach for three years.  He completed a Masters Degree in his 5th year of teaching and moved back to Idaho, where he taught Music Education in Kuna and in Eagle, Idaho.  After attaining a second Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho, he accepted a position working for the Boise School District, where he has been employed for the past 15 years.  He currently teaches 5th grade as well as an accelerated before-school math class.  He is a local favorite at the Meridian Speedway, racing the #81 "Teacher's Pet" mini-stock, and is also the track chaplain.
