Hello My Name Is...

Caroline Brokaw

   I am the English Language Development teacher at Hillcrest Elementary. I hold a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University as well as a Master's degree in Bilingual/ELL Education from Northwest Nazarene University.  My teaching experience includes six years teaching kindergarten, four years teaching second grade, three years teaching dual language second grade, and two years of teaching English language development.
   This year, I am co-teaching with classroom teachers in grades first through sixth to support language acquisition and vocabulary development for language learners as well as native speakers in the content area of Social Studies and Science. 
    As a life-long learner, I feel fortunate to be able to work with and learn from the wonderful staff and students here at Hillcrest.  In my free time I love to spend time with my family, hike, read, and travel.
