Boise School Board Appoints New Trustee
Boise, ID — 10/09/2025 — During a Special Board meeting held on October 8, 2025, members of the Boise School Board appointed Dr. Alejandro Necochea to fill a vacancy on the Board.
Dr. Necochea was appointed following a month-long public process that included interviews with six applicants. Because Dr. Necochea is unavailable during the October 13, 2025 Board meeting, he will be sworn into office at a future Board meeting or workshop.
Dr. Necochea will serve until the next regular election of the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, September 2, 2026, when he will have the option to run for the unexpired term of the office.
