Boise School District Announces Administrative Appointments

Boise, ID -- 02/23/2026 -- Boise School District is pleased to announce the following administrative appointments, effective July 1, 2026.
Becca Anderson, Director of Teaching and Learning

Mrs. Anderson has served as the Borah Quadrant Area Director since July 1, 2019, providing strong, collaborative leadership to schools across the Borah area. Throughout her tenure, she has championed student-centered learning and worked alongside principals and teacher leaders to strengthen instructional systems aligned with the District’s Strategic Plan. Over the past year in particular, she has played a key role in supporting the District’s focused implementation of standards-based reporting, helping guide schools through this important instructional shift.

With 31 years of service to Idaho’s public school students, Mrs. Anderson brings a wealth of classroom and administrative experience to her new role. Over the course of her career, she has served as an assistant elementary school principal (Horizon), English teacher (Borah High, Les Bois Junior High, and Nampa High), newspaper/journalism teacher (Nampa High), cross country coach (Nampa High), elementary summer school site coordinator (Morley Nelson), intern elementary principal (Cynthia Mann and Shadow Hills), elementary principal (White Pine), Boise School District English Language Arts Supervisor, and Boise School District Data and Accountability Supervisor.

In addition, Mrs. Anderson has been a member of the District’s Negotiations Team since 2018, contributing to collaborative labor discussions and helping ensure alignment between instructional priorities, district goals, and collective bargaining agreements.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Anderson has remained deeply committed to the belief that each and every student can and will learn successfully. She is a strong advocate for instructional best practices, professional learning communities, and the thoughtful use of multiple data sources to inform teaching and learning. She consistently supports educators in using formative and summative assessment data, demographic trends, surveys, classroom observations, and teacher evaluations to set meaningful, measurable goals that improve student outcomes.

In her new role as Director of Teaching and Learning, Mrs. Anderson will help lead districtwide efforts to strengthen curriculum alignment, instructional coherence, and standards-based practices. She will work closely with school leaders and teachers to ensure that the District’s instructional systems continue to reflect our shared commitment to:
  • Student-centered learning
  • High expectations for all students
  • Collaborative leadership and shared accountability
  • Standards-based reporting and grading practices
  • Continuous improvement aligned with the District’s Strategic Plan
Mrs. Anderson earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology with a Minor in English from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia; a Teaching Certificate with endorsements in Social Studies and English from Boise State University; a Master of Educational Leadership Degree from Boise State University; and an Education Specialist Degree in Executive Educational Leadership from Boise State University.

Please join us in congratulating Becca Anderson on this well-deserved appointment. We look forward to her continued leadership in advancing teaching and learning across the Boise School District and ensuring every student is prepared for success in college, career, and citizenship.
