🚧 Spring Break Road Closures & Traffic Advisory

Boise School District families and staff are asked to be aware of several upcoming road closures that may affect travel and bus routes near Whitney Elementary and in the Milwaukee Street / Goddard Road area.

Whitney Elementary – Owyhee Street Closure
📍 S. Owyhee Street (just south of Overland Rd.)
🗓 March 14–22, 2026
⏰ Begins Saturday, March 14 at 8 a.m. and reopens Sunday, March 22 by 8 p.m.

At the request of The Russell Corporation, utility work related to the Whitney Pool project — including water, sewer, and potential power improvements — will take place during Spring Break.

Although school will not be in session during Spring Break (March 14–22), the Just For Kids childcare program and the Boise City Community Center will remain open. Access to the Whitney parking lot will continue via Nez Perce Street during the construction period.

Additional Area Road Closures

📍 Milwaukee Street
🗓 March 9–17, 2026
Closed from the end of Milwaukee Park to Goddard Road (the week before Spring Break)

📍 Goddard Road
🗓 March 14–22, 2026
Closed during Spring Break (Milwaukee traffic may still turn left onto Goddard)

🚍 Please note: Due to these closures, some bus stops and pick-up/drop-off times may be adjusted.

Families and staff are encouraged to:
✔️ Allow extra travel time
✔️ Follow posted detour signage
