Boise School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Curtis Anderson as the new Principal of Grace Jordan Elementary School, effective July 1, 2026.
Mr. Anderson brings more than 20 years of experience in education and school leadership to the Boise School District. He currently serves as Principal of Eagle Hills Elementary School in Eagle, Idaho, a position he has held since 2024. Previously, he served as Assistant Principal of Safety and Behavior at Owyhee High School in Meridian and spent more than a decade leading elementary schools in Boise as principal of Mountain View Elementary School and Riverside Elementary School.
Throughout his career, Mr. Anderson has demonstrated a strong commitment to student-centered learning, positive school culture, and continuous improvement. His leadership has included the successful implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), data-driven instruction, and comprehensive safety planning, resulting in measurable improvements in student outcomes and school climate.
Mr. Anderson is known for building strong relationships with students, staff, and families while fostering collaborative school communities focused on high expectations and student success. His work has included supporting standards-based teaching and learning practices, developing leadership teams that focus on student growth, and partnering with families and community organizations to enhance opportunities for students.
Mr. Anderson holds a Principal Certification from Seattle Pacific University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from City University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Northwest College.

The Boise School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Annie Billingsley as Principal of Riverglen Junior High School, effective July 1, 2026.
Ms. Billingsley has served as Assistant Principal at Riverglen Junior High School since 2025, where she has been an integral part of the school’s leadership team. In this role, she has worked closely with staff, students, and families to support a positive school culture focused on academic achievement, student well-being, and continuous improvement.
Prior to joining the Riverglen administrative team, Ms. Billingsley served as a learning coach at Les Bois Junior High School in the Boise School District, where she collaborated with teachers to develop student-centered, evidence-based instructional practices that enhance student learning and engagement. She also previously taught English at Les Bois Junior High School and brings extensive experience as a secondary English instructor.
Before joining the Boise School District, Ms. Billingsley taught English at McLean High School in Virginia, where she served as team lead for English 12, helped develop district-level curriculum for grades 9–12, sponsored the National English Honor Society, and mentored student teachers. She has also worked as a subject matter expert and online course developer, creating instructional content for multidisciplinary learning programs.
Ms. Billingsley’s leadership experience extends beyond traditional education. She has served as a curriculum developer for academic and defense-based training programs, an Advanced Placement reader for the College Board, and an interim director for the Airman and Family Readiness Center, where she supported relocation and transition programs for military families. Her diverse professional background has strengthened her skills in administration, mentoring, and instructional leadership.
Throughout her career, Ms. Billingsley has been recognized for her dedication to student success, earning multiple Senior Teacher of the Year awards and other professional honors. She is deeply committed to fostering student-centered learning, supporting the continued implementation of standards-based reporting, and advancing the goals of the Boise School District’s Strategic Plan to ensure every student is prepared for success.
Ms. Billingsley holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies from the State University of New York at Albany, a Master of Arts in English from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Ottawa University. She also completed her Educational Specialist Degree in Executive Leadership from Boise State University.

Boise School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Shelley Bonds as Timberline Quadrant Area Director, effective July 1, 2026.
Shelley Bonds has served Idaho’s public school students for 23 years. During that time, she has worked as a teacher, instructional coach, building leader, and district-level administrator. She currently serves as Principal of Maple Grove Elementary School, a position she has held for the past four years, where she has provided strong instructional leadership and helped guide the school’s continued focus on student-centered learning, collaborative instructional practices, and the implementation of standards-based reporting to better support student growth and meaningful feedback for families.
Prior to joining Boise Schools, Bonds served in the Nampa School District as Principal of Endeavor Elementary School (2008–2015), Director of Federal Programs/Curriculum & Instruction (2015–2017), and Executive Director of Elementary Schools/Mental Health & Wellness (2017–2022).
Ms. Bonds has demonstrated experience serving as a strong instructional leader, supporting systems implementation, and effectively supporting behavior management and trauma-informed programs in school environments. She has significant experience leading collective efficacy and agency, as well as promoting data-driven instruction and evidence-based growth outcomes.
As Timberline Quadrant Area Director, Bonds will support school leaders and staff in advancing the Boise School District’s Strategic Plan, with an emphasis on student-centered learning, standards based reporting, continuous improvement, and high levels of achievement for every student. Her leadership reflects a strong commitment to supporting educators, strengthening instructional systems, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Bonds believes that each and every student is capable of learning and growing. She works to support teachers, families, and students in fostering a growth mindset and collaborative school culture that leads to success for all learners and prepares students for success in college, career, and life.
Ms. Bonds earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Elementary Education from Eastern Oregon University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix, and is partially through a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Grand Canyon University.

Greg Tovey has worked as a public school educator in Idaho since 2015.
Mr. Tovey currently serves as Assistant Principal at Capital High School, a position he has held since the 2022–2023 school year. In this role, he has worked closely with students, families, and staff to support a positive school culture and strong instructional practices.
During his career, he has served students as a middle school math teacher at West Middle School in the Nampa School District (2015–2016) and as a junior high math teacher at Hillside Junior High School in the Boise School District (2016 to 2022). He has also supported students through leadership roles in the District’s Secondary Summer School program, serving as Assistant Principal for Alternative Junior High School Summer School (February 2020 – July 2021) and as Principal for Alternative Junior High School Summer School (February 2022 to present).
At Hillside Junior High School, Mr. Tovey also served in several leadership roles, including Administrative Designee and Technology Lead, helping support collaborative leadership and effective instruction focused on student success.
Throughout his career, Mr. Tovey has demonstrated a strong commitment to Boise School District’s focus on student-centered learning, standards-based reporting, and the goals outlined in the District’s Strategic Plan. He is known for supporting instructional practices that empower students to take ownership of their learning while helping teachers use meaningful feedback and assessment practices to guide student growth.
In his new role as Assistant Principal at Riverglen Junior High School, Mr. Tovey will work closely with Treasure Valley Math and Science Center Principal Helga Frankenstein to support the continued success of the program. This collaboration is intended to support a smooth leadership transition, with the plan for Mr. Tovey to assume the role of Principal of the Treasure Valley Math and Science Center during the 2027–2028 school year.
Mr. Tovey earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Boise State University.
