Join Us April 10 for Purple Up Day to Support Military-Connected Students 💜

Posted Date: 03/25/26 (08:00 AM)

Dear Boise School District Staff, Families & Students:

Boise School District is proud to join the Idaho National Guard Child & Youth Program in recognizing Purple Up Day on April 10, a day dedicated to honoring and supporting military-connected youth in our schools and community.

Many students across Idaho, and here in the Boise School District, have parents or guardians serving in the military. Purple Up Day is a meaningful opportunity for our entire school community to show appreciation for their resilience, flexibility, and the important role they play in supporting military families.

We encourage students, staff, and families to participate by:

  • Wearing purple on April 10 💜

  • Taking time to recognize and support military-connected students

  • Helping raise awareness about the experiences of military families in our community 🇺🇸

Together with the Idaho National Guard, we are proud to celebrate and support these students and the families who serve.

Please see the attached letter for additional information about ways your school can participate.

Thank you for helping us show our support on April 10!
