Hillcrest: A Great First Day! Updated

Hello Hillcrest Families,
We had a great first day! Students had many summer stories to share, along with lots of wonderful smiles. It was so nice to welcome everyone back!

A few reminders as we begin the school year:

• Boise Open: The Boise Open started this week and will run through Sunday. We appreciate your patience as you navigate the traffic patterns around school this week. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during our pick-up and drop-off lines.
• (Updated) Water Bottles: The weather is still quite warm. While we have drinking fountains available outside, we encourage students to bring a water bottle to school. For safety reasons, we encourage all water bottles to be clear (next year we will be moving to clear water bottles), and only water is permitted in water bottles during the school day, including in the classroom. During lunch, students may choose a different beverage, as long as it is school appropriate.
• Personal Electronic Devices: Please help us remind your student that personal electronic devices—including cell phones, Apple Watches and other smartwatches, and gaming systems—may not be used once students are on school property. This expectation also applies while students are riding the bus to and from school.
